DeoLink AI Policy

Last updated: 26th of August 2025

1. Purpose of This Policy

DeoLink uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support its mission: connecting people to Jesus in the digital age. This policy outlines how we use AI responsibly, ethically, and in line with our Christian values. It provides guidance for staff, volunteers, and transparency to users and partners.

2. Our Commitment

At DeoLink, human connection is at the center of everything we do. AI is a supportive tool, not a replacement. We seek to enhance relationships, not automate them. We view AI as a way to improve experience, amplify impact, and optimize our operations—while staying grounded in biblical values and authentic relationships.

3. Where We Use AI

We currently use AI to:

  • Refine communication (e.g. polish copy, translate text)
  • Draft agreements
  • Support coding and development
  • Support content creation and brainstorming for online courses
  • Improve internal operations, administration, and strategy

We are actively exploring additional AI features in our GrowPoint platform and ministry analytics, while staying aligned with this policy.

4. Where We Don’t Use AI

We do not use AI for:

  • Spiritual counseling or doctrinal teaching without human oversight
  • Deceptively imitating human interactions (e.g. pretending an AI is a person)
  • Generating or publishing content misaligned with our Code of Conduct or biblical truth
  • Processing personal or sensitive user data using third-party commercial AI systems that don’t guarantee high privacy standards
  • Sharing our codebase with unapproved or uncontrolled AI systems, including public AI platforms that do not meet our privacy and security criteria

5. Human Oversight

  • Every AI-generated output used in ministry is reviewed by a responsible person for truthfulness and biblical alignment.
  • If published as part of human activity, that person is accountable.
  • If published via automated processes, ministry coordinators or people responsible for the process must conduct regular sample checks to ensure alignment with our values.
  • In case of disagreement or sensitive issues, the President of the Association has the final decision.

6. Privacy & Data Stewardship

  • We do not share user personal data or spiritual conversations with third-party AI systems unless they meet our strict privacy standards, verified by third-party audits.
  • We do not allow user data to be used for training any publicly available AI models.
  • User data may only be used to train or fine-tune AI models that are fully owned or controlled by DeoLink (e.g. on-premise or private-cloud environments), and only in anonymized form.
  • All AI use aligns with GDPR, Polish privacy laws, and our Privacy Policy.
  • Transparency is core: we disclose AI use except where it powers generic or non-substantive content (e.g. UI translations, system code, background visuals).

7. User Transparency & Feedback

  • Users will be informed when they interact with significant AI-generated content.
  • We provide channels for users to report issues or concerns with AI-generated material.
  • Any incidents are handled per our GDPR-compliant incident response procedures.

8. Review, Training & Adaptation

  • Staff and volunteers are trained on responsible AI use in line with our values.
  • Our team tracks developments in AI, faith, and culture, and regularly updates our policies.
  • We commit to continuous learning and innovation with discernment.

9. Global Leadership & Collaboration

  • DeoLink contributes to the global conversation on ethical AI in ministry.
  • We help partners using GrowPoint implement responsible AI practices.
  • We openly share our approach and learnings with other ministries.

10. Closing Statement

This is more than technology. It’s transformation.
We believe that AI, used wisely and prayerfully, can help multiply our mission without compromising our core: real people, real relationships, real Jesus.
