Ministry > Vilnius Trip to Expand Outback Program in Europe

In mid-January, Henryk Król and Damian Kula (Outback leader) traveled to Lithuania with the aim of expanding Outback in Europe. Damian shared what they experienced and learned during this short trip. Read more below.

“On the third weekend of January (16th-18th), we traveled to Vilnius, Lithuania, to meet our friend Robertas Petraitis, who is deeply involved in ministry and truly committed to the Lord.

The reason for our visit was that on May 15th – 17th we will be running the first Outback Weekend in Lithuania.  On friday Robertas took us to the venue, which is about a two-hour drive from Vilnius. It is a Christian camp where many retreats take place, and it has everything we need to run Outback.

We are really excited about it, but we also need a lot of prayers because this will be an experimental one. Normally, couples come to experience Outback in Poland. After that, they know more and have a point of reference. But not this time.

This Outback will be led by a Polish team. After going through the program, the Lithuanian team will then be able to run it on their own.

We finished this beautiful but freezing day (it was -20 degrees!) by having dinner with Robertas, his wife Diana, and Remigijus Jucevičius – the director of XFM Christian Radio Station in Vilnius. It was a really fruitful meeting.

The next day, Henryk had a Zoom meeting with Robertas Petraitis, Rita Brazaitiene (volunteer translator), Sigitas Jurkstas – a Catholic priest, Remigijus Jucevicius – director of a XFM Christian Radio Station in Vilnius and Oliwer, our The Chosen leader.

The meeting was related to The Chosen. Henryk and Oliwer presented the whole project, and then they discussed the possibilities for The Chosen in Lithuania.

We concluded our journey with a meeting with Robertas. We discussed some details about the Outback preparations and what needs to be done step by step.

The same evening, I met with our friends who had gone through the program in Poland. They shared their experiences and will be involved in the first Outback in Lithuania.

God is so good; therefore, we also had a little time to see Vilnius and its beautiful architecture. We are really looking forward to seeing what God wants to do in Lithuania.”
