European Leadership Forum – Wisła 2025

From May 17th to 22nd, the annual European Leadership Forum (ELF) took place at the Gołębiewski Hotel in Wisła. This year, the event gathered a record number of 850 Christian leaders from 51 countries. Once again, as the DeoLink Association, we had the opportunity to take part in the entire event, represented by several people connected with our ministry.

Adam, who is responsible for the DrugiKrok.pl platform, shared his experience from this year’s ELF:

“I chose the evangelism track. This year, it was led by several leaders, mainly from the UK, but also included a Polish and a Slovak speaker, all under the leadership of Rico Tice. Rico is the author of the ‘Christianity Explored’ course, known in many countries. Over the course of four days, the speakers shared many valuable insights. There was a strong encouragement to pray on our knees, asking God to give us hearts that are broken for those who are still lost. We are not here to condemn people—we are here to love them. ‘I’m here for you,’ ‘I love you’—this kind of attitude should define evangelists. Rico emphasized that the other person is always more important than yourself, urging us to be less self-focused and more others-centered: ‘We can talk about ourselves, but we are not the Hero of this story.’ Jesus is.

It was also stressed that one of the greatest dangers to long-term perseverance in evangelism is unrepentant, repeated sin. On this topic, Rico shared that, for him, one of the most significant verses—perhaps the most significant—in the entire Old Testament is from Numbers 32:23: “your sin will find you out.” The sin of any individual affects not only that person but also others—their spouse, children, coworkers, parents, and beyond. It’s not just a personal issue when someone breaks God’s law. Sin is like a disease—it infects others.Besides the evangelism track, I found great value in the mentoring sessions. It was a time to nurture existing relationships—relationships that Jesus began years ago—as well as to meet new people and learn from them how to be a more faithful follower of Jesus as a husband, father, and servant. At ELF, by God’s grace, I received a lot of encouragement, knowledge, warmth, kindness, and love from other believers. People shared their experiences of walking with God. It’s an incredible blessing to learn from others. I believe and trust that it will help me draw closer to Jesus and serve Him more effectively—especially in sharing the Gospel.

I also realized that every day is a good day for a Christian, no matter what happens. Every day brings us closer to seeing Him face to face. When difficulties arise, it helps to pray, ‘Lord Jesus, I’m doing this for You.’Everything we do for Christ matters. He is our wonderful Good Shepherd.”

We are convinced that events like ELF help leaders and people involved in ministry to make better use of the tools provided, grow in their calling, and connect with amazing people from around the world who are committed to serving God’s Kingdom.

We’re deeply grateful to the entire team who organized this event—and we look forward to seeing you next year!
